Tenofovir Disoproxil Emtricitabine Tablets IP is a fixed-dose combination antiretroviral medicine used in the management of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor, while emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Both agents work by inhibiting the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme, thereby preventing viral DNA synthesis and reducing viral replication in the body.
